promotion
noun - moving someone up into a higher, more important or better paid position in a company or organisation (e.g. I want a job with good prospects for promotion.)
glass ceiling
noun - an invisible barrier to advancing in your career
multitasking
noun - doing more than one thing at the same time (e.g. Women are traditionally supposed to be good at multitasking.)
audience
noun - a group of people who come to watch and listen to someone speaking or performing in public. (e.g. The audience began clapping and cheering.)
digress
verb - to talk or write about something that is not your main subject. (e.g. Do you mind if I digress for a moment?) noun: digression
analogy
noun - something that seems similar between two situations, processes etc (e.g. He drew an analogy between the brain and a computer.)
robust
adj - (of a person or animal) strong and healthy, or (of an object or system) strong and unlikely to break or fail
drive
v/n - to strongly influence someone to do something. (e.g. The noises in my head have nearly driven me to suicide.)
sweetheart

n/v - to ask for something forcefully, in a way that shows that you do not expect to be refused (e.g. I demanded an explanation.)
