A

Entry control supervisor - manages required resources as dictated by incident plan and performs co-ordination and logistical tasks associated with BA entry control

BA communications operative - helps to maintain communications with BA teams and buddy checks

What are the criteria for siting an entry control point?

A

Close to incident as possible but still maintaining safety
In safe air
In a position that if incident deteriorates it wouldn’t be necessary to move
One ECP can cover more than 1 entrance to risk area

A

Ensure board is completed and kept up to date - such as overwriting tallies, writing time in in tallies
Maintain comms with BA team
Work out time of whistle
Return tallies to BA wearers and receive debrief

What are the requirements for a BA emergency team?

A

Numbers in BA emergency team must be at least equal to the largest BA team deployed from the ECP
Cylinder capacity and duration of BA sets must be at least equivalent to highest capacity and duration to those of wearers in distress
Same equipment.
Equipment is considered to be suitable and sufficient to meet the needs of all reasonably foreseeable emergency events

A

What are the limitations of EASE?

A

If BA wearers set fails and failure occurs in breathing valve assembly EASE will not work
New BA set/face mask is required

If you reach a BA team in distress what should you do?

A

Carry out gauge check of emergency team members
Inform ECO that team has been located and state exact location
Identify BA member that requires assistant
Silence ADSU
Check causalitys cylinder and asses if they have sufficient air to withdraw
