2
Q
Line Graph
A
used for quantitative data that changes over time
3
Q
Scatter Plot
A
- good for large data sets that aren’t dependent on time.
- they attempt to show a relationship between two variables (x and y axes)
- oftentimes, a direct relationship is made
- a trendline is added to the plot
4
Q
Bar Graph
A
- good choice when comparing groups of data
- sometimes the x-axis is not linear in nature
5
Q
Pie Chart
A
- good choice for categorical data whose total adds up to a value that is meaningful in some way
- if you want the viewer to focus on the proportionality of the groups (against each other), a bar graph would be better
