SMALLLLL. Little pockets of people form a small town gov’t and make decisions together on how/the best way to live.
Anarchists
Somethings called these. People who don’t want gov’t are anarchists.
Support science
They want to learn how to preserve the human body. The human body is precious.
Their gods
Made from science experiments hundreds of years later.
Building big things?
No. They are materialistic and non permanent. Plus, Dao could destroy it because he can destroy everything.
Wealth?
Nah. Materialistic, non lasting. Just live simply.
What does Dao control?
Nature, everything except humans. Humans cannot perfectly follow Dao; they are not perfect. They argue about religion and do their own thing. One cannot totally focus on the natural order. Humans fail to follow and argue about right and wrong
What do they try to do?
Stay close to nature; Dao.
Goal
Become immortal
Obtain perfection…
By turning any from society and to nature
Formal religion?
Little regard for it. The little religion they have formed a long time after Daoism was formed.
Dao de jing
The way of virtue - expressed beliefs.
Dao + peace=
No desire
