What should you do if you’re performing a dial test on a gas meter and this appliance is connected to the gas piping system? (Danby Range)
Make sure there are no openings in the gas line, make sure all shut off valves at the appliance are open, open the gas at the meter, mark the location of the needle on the smallest dial, wait ten minutes, if there is any movement of the dial there is a leak and you must use soap test, one the leak is fixed conduct the test again until there is no movement of the test dial.
