D3: 2x basic knife disarms

A

NOTE: D4/D5 is the first part of this disarm at this point the attacker right arm has been bought up vertical and the defender left hand has a c-grip at the wrist
Disarm 1
1. Place the right hand with your palm so that the lifeline crease is aligned with the knuckles, wrap fingers over
2. Pull with left and push with right straight down
3. Grip in with fingernails and pull out knife
4. Switch knife to non-dominant hand after if threat neutralised
Disarm 2 (which isn’t really a disarm)
1. Use the right elbow to push down back of attacker hand. Its a push NOT a strike
2. Knee attacker in face etc
NOTE: You are not taking the knife

  1. U-grip arm under neck and pull to relieve pressure. Turn head to attacker. Groin strike and simultaneously pull up with left hand strongly, swing back the same amount and elbow up. Step out forward.

A

Step back as first technique if no wall behind you
Semi passive stance
If attacker, be aggressive, hold stick at the end, a big swing
1.Burst forward pivoting 90 degrees inwards early as possible (hand defence, body defence)
2. Use double hand block (left wrist the stick, right palm blocks the attacker’s forearm)
Counter as soon as possible (ideally hammer R & L)
Create a space or continue to attack
