D3: Lead front elbow strike
- Elbow for lead foot
- Stamp forward on lead foot and strike at the same time
D3: Mantis strike
Double fist strike from semi-passive, aim for nose
D3: Cymbal strike
Double palm strike to ears, don’t flail arms
D3: Spinning hammer
- Left foot turns in
- Right steps around and deep beyond 180
3.Strike to face with side hammer
TIP: Position attacker, move then left with jabs
D3: Krav uppercut
- Elbow at 45 degrees, wrist and forearm straight
- Not boxing uppercut this is longer distance
D3: Straight punch mirror defence
Left hand might be in pocket and/or 45 degree attack
Turn right arm against attack and look at palm
D3: Knife: High elbow, low hand against stab
Hands are down as surprised from three quarter angle
1. Elbow up hand down (like coat hanger)

D3: 2x defences against high slash
- Lean back with body defence
- Step in and double palm block the reverse slash, hands either side of elbow, one hand as close to wrist as possible
D3: Knife across body to side of throat

- Double c-grip and push arm out straight
- Drive backwards to right
- Kick with left leg

1. Hands up either side and close to attacker arms
2. Pluck to chest start with your wrist above theirs

D3: 2x basic knife disarms
NOTE: D4/D5 is the first part of this disarm at this point the attacker right arm has been bought up vertical and the defender left hand has a c-grip at the wrist
Disarm 1
1. Place the right hand with your palm so that the lifeline crease is aligned with the knuckles, wrap fingers over
2. Pull with left and push with right straight down
3. Grip in with fingernails and pull out knife
4. Switch knife to non-dominant hand after if threat neutralised
Disarm 2 (which isn’t really a disarm)
1. Use the right elbow to push down back of attacker hand. Its a push NOT a strike
2. Knee attacker in face etc
NOTE: You are not taking the knife
D3: Two side bear hug defences (arms free/arms trapped)
Arms free
1. Both hands onto attacker arm, hand-on hand
2. Step feet together
3. Drive sidewards knee into groin
4. Step out with left foot
5. Keep driving knees
Arms trapped
1. Wriggle one arm free
2. Elbow with free arm
D3: 2x guillotine defences
- U-grip arm under neck and pull to relieve pressure. Turn head to attacker. Groin strike and simultaneously pull up with left hand strongly, swing back the same amount and elbow up. Step out forward.
- U-grip arm under neck and pull to relieve pressure. Turn head to attacker. Groin strike and simultaneously pull up with left hand strongly, swing back the same amount. Elbow up (not strike just to create distance). Step back with educational block to throat
D3: Two handed from rear wrist grab
- If your arms are behind you, turn step back and elbow up, step fwd and stabilize then donkey kick (optional)
- If your arms are in front, piston forward to release, then elbow or kick back
D3: Rear arms free (passive) bearhug defence
- Hold left hand
- Grind knuckles into top of other hand
D3: Single hand front choke defence
- Arm vertical
- Palm up
- Turn and slide arm down attacker forearm
- Turn body as much as possible(if against wall your right hand should almost touch it)
- This is a redirect NOT a strike

D3: Side headlock defence
- Stabilise
- Left arm over top of attacker head fingers in eyes

D3: Rugby tackle defences
- Step to one side and kick
- Step and turn 90 degrees and strike downwards to back of neck/head
- Use “kung fu” straight knife arm on their neck to redirect
Kimura
- Left Knee at neck
- Attacker right arm over stomach and right knee close
- Attacker left arm at 90 degrees with hand up
- Hand on attacker left wrist with u-grip
- Other arm under with u-grip on your wrist in figure 4
- Pull in close, elbow to attacker neck
D3: Ground side headlock one arm trapped defence
Attacker to one side feet out straight, right arm under neck, left arm wrapped around attacker right, hands clasped (Scarf)
1.Shrimp to side of attacker
2.Strike back of head with left
3.Bring left leg up and pull right arm out
4.Get up pushing head down and knee etc
D3: Ground side head lock arms free defence
- Left hand on attacker forehead
- Move body around until inline
- Right under chin and pull attacker head onto chest
- Tuck right leg under
- Roll like a log to side of hand under chin
D3: One hand jacket grab
- Hands up either side
- Step back 90 degrees with right foot to make space
- Left arm wiper down to break grip
- Under wrap with both arms, hand over hand at elbow
- Drive forward with knee to groin
D3: Three outside defences against straight punch
Punch is from an angle
So called “He lives, he dies”
1. Throw arm up with thumb up, turn body in direction of arm
2. Throw arm up with thumb down, turn body in direction of arm
3. Throw arm up with thumb down but arm horizontal, lean back ducking slightly, take step and horizontal kick
D3: One handed front swinging stick attack (not overhead!)
Step back as first technique if no wall behind you
Semi passive stance
If attacker, be aggressive, hold stick at the end, a big swing
1.Burst forward pivoting 90 degrees inwards early as possible (hand defence, body defence)
2. Use double hand block (left wrist the stick, right palm blocks the attacker’s forearm)
Counter as soon as possible (ideally hammer R & L)
Create a space or continue to attack
