  2. Pull in close, this is a clinch
  3. Step behind with left foot to make space, right calf at their calf
  4. Kick right leg back and rotate upper body down to throw

  2. Elbow rear high and turn into attacker, step deep across them positioned for left knee or punches

  1. Hands up to outside! (head butt)
  2. Come across with u-grip under wrist and pluck
  3. Move right foot in, then out 90 degrees rotating body and keeping wrist to chest
  4. Strike with forearm to tricep, move out to wrist control (make heart, thumbs at middle knuckle little fingers at wrist)

A

This is 80% of front technique
1. Archer for straight - pluck to chest and palm push under chin, release and counter with punches
2. For crooked, pluck and other arm under attacker bicep and drive up (remember to tuck head)

  2. Strike ground with forearms
  3. Come up into ground fighting stance

A

Similar to straight arm standing knife to side
1. Hands up bring feet flat to bum
2. double c-grip and push out and buck, roll over
3. Twist arm holding knife on the floor (so attacker can’t lift it)
4. Strike attacker with other hand
5. Bring knife down and roll them onto it

  1. Turn onto side
  2. Bring knees up
  3. Arm defend face, fists on forehead
    Tip: Tense fists to absorb force

D2: Bridging and bucking

A
  1. Feet as close to bum as possible but flat
  2. Twist and push up waist
    TIP: Practice bridge by reaching arm over and behind, remember three points of contact

D2: Full mount forearm choke defence

A
  1. Hands up to defend face
  2. Feet up flat to bum
  3. Push attacker arm (strike)
  4. Use other arm to pull their bridge hand out from under them
  5. Bridge to roll them off and either roll the other way or up on one knee
    Tip: Focus to keep leg that goes on top up so you end up on one knee

A

Ground fight stance
1. Right leg up and foot turned
2. Left foot down to move around, remember change foot for direction

Front bear hug arms trapped

A
  1. Make space and stabilise
  2. Palms together and strike up (Johnny Wilkinson)
  3. Underpin with arms on both sides, holding shoulders
  4. Knee and bring leg back
  5. Turn 90%
  6. Keep control with left and continue striking
  7. Optional take to the floor (rotate head down with right hand)
