What does Cystic Fibrosis affect?
A
Cell Membranes; causing a thick, sticky mucus, especially in the lungs, gut and pancreas.

What are the symptoms of Cystic Fibrosis?
A
Weight loss, difficulty in breathing, chest infections and difficulty in digesting food.

Is there a known cure for Cystic Fibrosis?
A
No but scientists have identified the allele that causes it.

Is the Cystic Fibrosis allele dominant or recessive?
A
Recessive; which mean if a person possesses one allele for C, they will have no symptoms or disorder at all.
However, they are called carriers because they could possibly pass on the allele to their children.
