It is characterized by a compulsion to use a drug to experience psychological or physical effects despite any deterioration in health, work, or social activities.

Drugs that may reduce anxiety and excitement, lowered inhibitions, slow pulse and beating, lowered blood pressure, poor concentration, confusion, impaired coordination.
Sedatives
Drugs that affect sensation, thinking, self-awareness and emotion. Impaired balance and coordination, increased heart rate, panic attack, changes in time and space perception, delusions.
Hallucinogens
Drugs that relieve pain and often induce sleep.
Narcotics
Drugs that increase alertness and physical disposition. It increased heart rate, blood pressure, metabolism, feelings of exhilaration, energy, increased mental alertness/rapid or irregular heartbeat, reduced appetite, weight loss, heart failure, insomnia
Stimulants
It is a drug from the leaves of Coca plant, a shrub that originated in South America. This drug affects the central nervous system as a stimulant.
Cocaine
Chemical substances that causes Central Nervous System depression.
Volatile Substance
Volatile chemical substances that contain psychoactive (mind/mood-altering) vapors to produce a state of intoxication.

- Occurrence of domestic violence.
- Loss of valuables.
What are the ill effects of drug abuse on the community?
- Increase of petty crimes in the community.
- Increase of user & pusher.
- Fear of residents to drug dependents especially at night.
- Neighborhood association becomes inactive.
