Brugada syndrome

A

Rare but potentially life-threatening inherited disease that predisposes patients to fatal cardiac arrhythmias. Characterized by ECG findings of a right bundle branch block and ST-segment elevations in the right precordial leads (V1-V3).

A

Congenital condition characterized by intermittent tachys and signs of ventricular pre-excitation on ECG, both of which arise from an accessory pathway known as bundle of Kent

What is Polycythemia Vera?

A

Chronic myeloproliferative neoplasm causing erythrocytosis with or without increases in granulocytes and platelets.
Manifest with fatigue, facial flushing etc etc.
Makes blood thicker

Often asymptomatic

A

Heterogenous group of rare AI diseases characterized by vasculitis.
Can be primary (idiopathic) or secondary.

A

A

Autoimmune vasculitis that causes chronic inflamm or large and medium size arteries (esp carotid arteries / aorta)
Usually constitutional symptoms, new headache, jaw claudication etc
