deep fibular nerve (common fib. n. L5)

- lateral margin of the foot (hindfoot & midfoot)
sural nerve (tibial & common fib. nn. S1-S2)
- skin of medial side of sole
- plantar aspect, sides, and nail beds of medial 3.5 toes
medial plantar nerve (tibial n. L4-L5)
- skin of lateral sole
- plantar aspect, sides, and nail beds of lateral 1.5 toes
- splits the 4th digit
