Interdependence allows them to be influenced by the presence of whom they are with
see holistically how the objects go with the context.
i.e mr. A must be friends with B, Laughing because the day is bright ect.

Independence allows them to be a sole identity, with stable traits not by the context.
Analytic view only picks out the central character’s traits like he has brown hair, seems friendly, in small pieces.
Peng and Morris
A physics student kills ppl on campus for losing his award.
NYT: Analytic he is really cynical, deeply distrubed, ect.
The world journal: he had a bad relationships with his advisors, the access to guns in the USA, ect.
Culture and Ideals
Both for positive emotions but
EA: Milder and soothing forms
NA: Exciting and deep arousal of elation
All seen through the choices of drugs, religions, music, books, ect.
