What is a player?
A
- A player is an individual or organisation with an interest and/or influence in actions, decisions or operations. Places are influenced by a range of players operating at different scales.

How has the EU driven economic change in the UK between 1973-2020?
A
- Access to a large trade bloc, free of tariffs means a boost to European businesses and their ability to trade with wider markets
- Freedom of movement, providing access to a large number of workers
- They have deliberately targeted support in poorer regions, evening out regional inequalities
