• Or they may be subject to a crime
• Or harm to themselves or others.
No apparent Risk / absent (lowest level of risk)
Not where they are expected or required to be AND no apparent risk harm

Define - Domestic Abuse
Any incident or pattern of incidents of controlling, coercive, threatening behaviour, violence or abuse between those aged 16 or over who are or have been intimate partners or family members regardless of gender or sexuality
What is Section 76 of Serious Crime Act 2015
Controlling or coercive behaviour in an intimate or family relationship
What is coercive control
- Two or more occasions, causes another to fear that violence will be used against them OR
- Serious alarm or distress is caused, which affects the person’s usual day to day life
- Knew or ought to have known
- Family member much wider

What is Section 46 of Children’s Act 1989
Provides for the removal of children into police protection if they are at risk of significant harm
46(1) where a constable has reasonable cause to believe that a child would otherwise be likely to suffer significant harm, he may
(a) Remove the child to suitable accommodation and keep him there or
(b) Take such steps as are reasonable to ensure that the child’s removal from any hospital, or other places, in which he is then accommodated is prevented.
How long can a child be kept in Police Protection
The upper limit of 72 hours
