Imposed unity on their diverse people by expelling non-Christians from Spain with the support of the inquisition. They launched a brutal crusade and lost over 150,000 people

She had won many battles but was taken captive by English allies and was tried for witchcraft, and burned at the stake. Later declared a saint.
