Question 1

CREW OXYGEN Press Indicator

Answer 1

• indicates pressure at the crew oxygen cylinder
• O2 gauge is ELECTRICAL (BAT BUS with the BAT SWITCH ON)
• when there is high pressure (> 2600 psi) a green disk breaks (external on aircraft)

Question 2

PASS OXY ON Light

• Illuminated (Amber): pax oxygen system is operating and masks have dropped
  
  • MC & OVERHEAD annunciators
  • also means PAX O2 system activated manually or automatically to drop the masks

[1sp - pull the mask to initiate air flow - O2 at the PSU for pax is a 50/50 mix - 50% Oxygen 50% ambient air]

PASSENGER OXYGEN SWITCH (PASS OXYGEN)

• 2 positions -

NORMAL

ON

  • pax masks drop and O2 system activated automatically if CABIN ALT climbs to 14,000’
• ON:
  
  • activates system manually and drops masks if auto function fails.
