A

Divisional - root/ nerve lesion

Onion skin - brainstem lesion

Dissociated sensory loss - brainstem lesion

Associated other CN palsies - brainstem or CPA tumors, orbital/ cavernous sinus

Corneal reflex

What are the deficits of facial nerve?

A

Supranuclear - contralateral lower quadrant paralysis

Nuclear/ infranuclear - ipsilateral hemiface paralysis

No taste in anterior 2/3 of tongue

Hyperacusis ipsilaterally

Loss of lacrimation and salivation ipsilaterally
