Why was the Simon Commission made?
A
Sir John Simon was sent to India to see how the Government of India Act was working
With no Indian members it was made clear that the future of India was to be decided by British politicians in Westminster 1927

A
Very badly, delegates were greeted by booing and protest in Bombay, Calcutta, Delhi, Lahore and Lucknow and police could hardly control the mass demonstrations
