You state that you undertook self study into termination under FIDIC contracts. Can you tell me about this?
A
FIDIC red book the employer has the right to terminate for cause or convenience as defined under sub-clause 15.
Employer can terminate for cause due to the reasons identified in subclause 15.2, including abandoning works, bankruptcy, bribery, performance.
Must give contractor 14 days notice of termination, contractor must leave the site and deliver goods, contract docs and other design docs, assign subcontracts and make safe the works.
Employer can complete the works, using the contractors goods. VADOT carried out, may recover costs associated with completing the remaining works.
