A
how much the variables change in the same direction and how much they change together.

What does the R-value tell you?
A
- which direction your correlation is in
- Above 0 is positive
- Below 0 is negative - How strong your correlation is
- If it is close to one is strong
- If it is close to 0 it is weak

What does R-squared value tell you?
A
how much variance is explained by your correlation. Can be called correlation coefficient.
