Coronary Arteries and Cardiac Veins Flashcards
The Blank supply oxygenated blood to the myocardium
Coronary arteries
the blank courses to the right ( in the atrioventricular sulcus) gives of the right marginal artery and then travels to the back of the heart to descend as the posterior interventricular artery
right coronary artery
The blank courses to the left (posterior to the pulmonary trunk) a short distance before dividing into the anterior interventricular artery and circumflex artery
left coronary artery
the blank descends on the front of the heart, between the ventricles
the anterior interventricular artery
The blank courses around the back of the heart in the atrioventricular sulcus, providing branches to the left ventricle along the way
the circumflex artery
the blank carry deoxygenated blood from the myocardium; there is one running along with each of the main branches of the coronary arteries
the cardiac veins
the blank runs with the anterior interventricular artery, the middle cardiac vein with the posterior interventricular artery and the small cardiac veins with the marginal artery
great cardiac vein
the blank (drains blood from the myocardium) all empty into the coronary sinus, between the left atrium and left ventricle on the posterior heart
Veins
The coronary sinus opens into the blank
right atrium
