A
  • Severe FEV1 <30%
  • Cyanosis
  • Polycythaemia
  • Peripheral oedema
  • Raised JVP
  • Oxygen sats < 92% on air

How is assessment done?

A

ABG on 2 seperate occasions at least 3 weeks apart in patients on OPTIMAL management.

What should their ABG be to offer LTOT?

A

pO2 <7.3 kPa

OR

pO2 7.3 to 8kPa AND any of the following:

  • Seconary polycythaemia
  • Nocturnal hypoxemia
  • Peripheral oedema
  • Pulmonary hypertension
