Conversions in GADs Flashcards
conversions in GADS are more fully called what?
‘conversion actions’
how do pull in GA conversion goals to GADS?
where do you do this?
- you need to link your GADS account with your GA. With this you will then get extra GA data for every click, e.g. session duration & pages/ session.
- to connect with the GA goals, you need to ‘import’ the goal to GADS via the GADS Conversion page.
Tools & Settings>Measurement>Conversions.
What are ‘Conversion Action Sets’?
If you have more than one conversion action for a campaign in GADS, Conversion Action Sets lets u choose which conversions are shown in your ‘Conversions’ column per campaign.
If you use Smart Bidding, your bid strategies will optimise for these conversions.
RE: So it looks to give you control on what’s counted as a conversion in your conversion column. And potentially you can include multiple conversions?
Can you remove obsolete ‘conversion actions’ in GADS? Bearing in mind that you don’t want to lose historical conversion data.
As far as I can see yes. I tested this.
I removed a ‘conversion action’ based on destination, visiting the contact page.
But the conversions are still in my data.
