- 2 days off during a 7 day period
- If working for 4 and a half hours continuously, need a 30 minute rest period
- Can work at night, as long as the task they are doing is per their training

DoS = Declaration of Security - an agreement between the ship and port or another ship specifying the security measures each will take
You will send it in the following scenarios:

- The ship is operating at a higher security level than port / other ship
- Security threat
- Port doesn’t have an approved security plan
- Advised by flag state
- Conducting ship-to-ship operations
