What is clomifene therapy?

A

When women ovulate due to a drug called clomifene. This causes more FSH which improves chances of pregnancy as it stimulates egg maturation and ovulation.

What is IVF?

A

in vitro fertilisation .
Collects women eggs and mans sperm and combining them in a test tube, then putting them into a women’s uterus , this is then grown and birthed.
This is an example of assisted reproductive technology.

What are some contraceptives examples?

A

Hormone pills can’t prevent pregnancy , as it can keep oestrogen high which stops egg production.
Progesterone , keeps uterus lining thick , which doesn’t let any sperm in.
Minipill and injection contain progesterone

The condom puts a physical barrier between Sperm and egg , eg male and female condom

What are some props and con of some contraception methods?

A

Hormonal methods are more effective at stopping pregnancy , and they don’t have to stop and think about protection.

But hormonal can effect people with headaches, ache, and mood swings.

Also CONDOMS protect people from STDS this is a big positive , hormonal injections don’t
