A

in OD - replaces bodys glutathionew
.
- has antioxidant effect - which helps contrast nephropathy

  • if in contact with mucus, breaks down dislphide bonds and reducing its viscosity. so can help sputum clearance

  • anaphylaxis if in OD - but IGE independant, so can restart slower after reactions calms and given bronchodilator and antihistamine
  • in mucolytic - given as nebs - bronchospasm. so give salbutomol before
