How does progestogen act as a contraceptive?
On anterior pituitary and hypothalamus
Directly on the ovary
On the endometrium –>stops proliferation so end layer of uterus is thin
Relaxation of uterine tubes
Thickens cervical mucus to prevent sperm from getting in
