when can a consumer request a refund?
if the damage or the product is not fit for purpose a refund should be made if it’s within 0-30 days. If a consumer was to change their mind about a product they are not legally required to be able to refund the item
when can a consumer request a repair?
if the product is damaged then the consumer can request a repair within 0-6 months. The business should be given on,y one opportunity to replace or repair the product
what are the reasons of safety being a protection of consumers
Cost saving ways of production may tempt businesses into unsafe product measures that could harm or damage the consumer, so customers are legally protected if not the business can get serious consequences

Different countries have a different consumer rights act , however if they are to sell to the uk they must abide by uk laws
why are scientific advantages a reason to protect consumers
fake electrical appliances and pharmaceuticals could not have been tested therefore could be harmful
