  • it is RARE
  • seen in all ages
  • can be seen in cases of acute pericarditis
  • more common in males
  • common after TB

- early signs can be very subtle

Dyspnoea
Peripheral oedema
Raised JVP
Kussmaul's sign (paradoxical rise in JVP on inspiration)
