REM sleep
A recurring sleep stage during which vivid dreams commonly occur. Muscles are relaxed but other organs are not.
Circadian rythm
The biological clock, regular bodily rhythms like temperature and wakefulness. We adjust to 24 hours, but we were really meant for 25 hours
Alpha waves
Occurs when your asleep, relatively slow brain waves when relaxed
Stage 1

Stage 2
Sleep spindles begin(burst of random rapid, rhythmic brainwave activity). Sleep talking may occur
Stage 3
Delta waves begin, but barely, not completely
Insomnia
Recurring problems in falling or staying asleep.
Narcolepsy
Uncontrollable sleep attacks, directly to REM Sleep. Inappropriate at times
Sleep ao ea
A sleep disordee characterized by temporary cessation of breathin pf during sleep and consequent momentary reawakenings
