unilateral or bilateral red eyes bloodshot itchy discharge - purulent (bacterial), clear (viral)
no pain, photophobia, vision changes

conjunctivitis
episcleritis
subconjunctival haemorrhage

A
glaucoma anterior uveitis keratinitis sceritis corneal abrasions/ulcers trauma foreign body

Mx
A
usually resolves w/o treatment
<1mo = urgent ophthalmology review
allergic - antihistamines, mast-cell stabilisers

neonatal conjuncitivitis
A
<1mo
need urgent ophthalmology review - can be assoc with gonococcal infection and cause sight loss
