5 principles of the 2018 confidentiality act

A

1) processed data should not exceed what is needed for a specified lawful purpose
2) data must be accurate and kept up to data
3) data must not be kept for longer than necessary for the specified purpose ;
4) appropriate measures must be taken against unauthorised or unlawful processing and against accidental loss;
5) data must not be transferred to a country outside the European economic area unless that country has adequate protection arrangements

what is the freedom of information act 2000

A

the freedom of information act 2000 seeks to promote openness and accountability of public authorities. this allows people to find out how public authorities carry out their work . from January 1st 2009, pharmacies carrying out NHS services were required to adopt a model publication scheme approved by the information commissioner.
