  • The stand-on vessel shall keep her course and speed.
  • The stand-on vessel may alter her course and speed when it becomes apparent that the vessel required to keep out of the way is not taking appropriate action
  • If the give-way vessel is not taking action to avoid collision, the stand on vessel shall take action to avoid a collision
  • This rule does not relieve the give-way vessel of her obligation to keep out of the way.
