- Entry level power supply specification
- Also called EPS12v cable
- A 4+4 connector
- Created to provide +12v power to multiple CPUs
- Seen mostly in Servers
-Not the same as 8 pin PCI Express power

- Additional power for PCI Express adapter
- 6 pin (75 watts )
- 8 pin (150 watts)
- Provides +12v
- Commonly seen on high-power components
- Video adapters
- Some cable have two pieces
- 6 pin & 2 Pin = 8 pin

- Main motherboard power
- Provides +3.3v, +/-5v, and +/-12v
- 20 pin was original ATX standard
- 24 pin added for PCI Express power
- You can connect a 24 pin connector to a 20 pin motherboard
- Some cables are 20 pin + 4 pin = 24 pin
