Health related and fitness related
List the health related components
Cardiorespiratory endurance, muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility, body composition
List the performance related components
Speed, agility, muscular power, balance, reaction time, coordination
Cardiorespiratory endurance
Is a health related component and is referred to as the bodies to work continuously for an extended period of time.
Muscular strength
Is health related. It is The maximum force a muscle can generate for a single maximum effort.
Flexibility
Is health related and refers to the range of motion around a joint.
Body composition
Is health related and refers to the body’s relative amount of fat to free mass in the body.
Speed
Is a performance related component and is the distance travelled per unit of time.
Agility
Is performance related and refers to the ability of an athlete to change direction whilst maintaining speed and balance.
Muscular Power
Is performance related and refers to the ability to apply force quickly or explosively in a short period of time.
Balance
Is performance related and refers to the body being in state of equilibrium during rest and exercise.
Reaction time
Is performance related and refer to the time between receiving a stimulus and acting on it.
Coordination
Is performance related and refers to the smooth and efficient interaction of movements.
