What is plasma
A
55 per cent of all blood content. Proteins, nutrients, hormones, minerals, salts and wastes are in plasma for the nourishment and functioning of tissues

what are red blood cels
A
formed in bone marrow and carries oxygen and CO2 around the body. Contains iron and haemoglobin (protein)

what are white blood cells
A
formed in bone marrow and lymph nodes. Phagocytes engulf foreign material and harmful bacteria while lymphocytes produce antibodies to fight disease

A
made from bone marrow and produce clotting substances that prevent blood loss when a blood vessel is damaged
