A theory by Eisenstein. We see a gun being held by a man against a red background, the polysemic sign is anchored by the neck shot of a woman holding her neck and bleeding. This signifies she is in danger and it has been caused by the male holding the gun. Signifying men are violent.
How can you apply Baudrillard to Riptide?
The billing block saying ‘the gun’ etc. is a parody of old films’ billing block.
