- may be numb over deltoid due to stretching axillary nerve
posterior dislocaiton
tend to be due to high force like seizure or eceltricity

FOOSH, esp in older women
- dinner fork deformity
monteggia fracture
- police baton
- fracture of ulna with distal radial dislocation
galeazzi
opposite of monteggia
scaphoid fracture
FOOSH in young ppl
- spica cast
- not on xrays
metacarpal fracture
- from hitting a wall
- swollen hand and xray will show
- may fix open or closed depending
clinical picture in hip fracture
externally rotated and shortened leg
issue in femoral neck
loss of blood supply
- often just do prostesis
intertrochanteric fracture
less danger to blood supply
- open with pins
tibial stress fracture
young men on forced marches
- not seen on xray
- cast for 2 weeks
X of the tibia and fibula
tend to be in car accidents
- can closed ureduce the easy ones
imaging and Tx for ankle Fx
- AP, lat, mortice
- ORIF
achilles rupture
middle age man plants and turns
- need surgery to speed healing
