    - create officials and agencies for administerng and enforcing the statute
    - enables creation of regulations
  2. Regulations - set out details that operationalize the Statute
    - sets out limitations, fines, applying for approvals, paying fees

Reads three times, refers changes back to the House of Commons, and to votes to adopt a Bill after the third reading

What is a bill?

A
  • Proposed legislation under consideration by a legislature
  • not a law yet
  • After a bill has passed 3rd reading in the House of Commons, it goes through a similar process in the Senate. Once both Chambers pass the bill in the same form, it is given Royal Assent and becomes law.
