Use it to find, create, customise and edit colours.
‘Recolor Artwork’ dialog
Formerly known as the ‘Edit Colors’ dialog.
With your multicolour graphic selected, open the dialog (icon is a segmented wheel in the toolbar).
The wheel in the panel displays the colours in your graphic.
Locking the colours changes them as one.
The Recolor Artwork dialog allows for FANTASTIC creative work, and one can benefit hugely from watching tutorials on Youtube - here’s a link to a great one : https://youtu.be/u25xsb8243Y
I think you’ll be very impressed :)

What is hue?
The hue is a pure colour, any colour, unaffected by white or black.
the ‘Adobe Color Themes’ panel - what does it require for it to display correctly?
an internet connection - and probably being logged into one’s Adobe account.
RAINBOW -
HEX + RGB VALUES…

subtractive v. additive colour system:
which is which and why are they called these names?
CMYK is subtractive:
mixing CMYK physical colours, such as gouache, begins with white and ends with black - as one adds colour, the result gets darker and tends to black. Thus, as one adds colour one loses light - light is subtracted.
RGB is additive:
mixing RGB colours begins with black and ends with white - as more colour is added, the result is lighter and tends to white. Thus, as one adds colour one adds light.
ADDITIVE = YOU ADD LIGHT AS YOU ADD COLOURS
