A

-soviet satellite countries were free to choose how they wanted to be governed without fesring that the Soviets’ would intervine (like in Hungary and czech)

Gorbachev’s other policies encouraged the people pf the satellite to introduce changes that would improve their standard of living and increase their individual freedoms.

All the Communist countries proceeded to fall in 1989
