What is cognitive reinstatement?
When a witness is back at the scene of the crime where the memory was first encoded it triggers the memory of the event. Sometimes it isn’t practical to take witnesses back to the crime scene so the witnesses are asked trivial questions like the weather, what they were wearing to recreate the setting and help trigger memory

What is recall everything?
Witnesses have to say everything that they can remember
What is reporting the event from a changed perspective?
The witness has to look at the event from a different perspective like that of the criminal’s
Report events in reverse order
The witnesses have to list the events from the police turning up to the crime scene to the start of day

That during an interview policemen should not interrupt and should withhold judgement and ask open ended questions
