1) Spontaneous Speech: describe drawing
2) Comprehension: responses to simple commands w/ manipulation of common objects
3) Repetition: repeat short phrases & simple sentence
4) Naming: name parts of 4 objects or name 8 separate objects

number digit repetitions of varying length
Orientation subtest
simple questions about orientation to time and place
Constructional Ability subtest
visual memory task
present stimulus sheet for 10s then ask examinee is asked to draw stimulus from memory
if fail this, have them assemble plastic tiles into designs as a card is shown

digit span repetition
Calculations subtest
simple verbal mathematics
Reasoning subtest
1) Similarities: explain how 2 concepts are alike (concrete & abstract)
2) Judgment: answer questions that demonstrate practical judgment in solving basic problem scenarios
