Coeliac Disease =
small intestine is sensitive to Gliadin (found in wheat, barley, and Rye), therefore leading to difficulty in digesting food.

GI T-cell lymphoma Oesophageal Cancer Osteoporosis Colon Cancer Anaemia Small Bowel Lymphoma Small Bowel Adenocarcinoma.
Coeliac Disease Associated Conditions
Dermatitis Herpetiformis
PBC
Diabetes
Autoimmune Hepatitis
Increases risk of enteropathy-associated T Cell lymphoma
Iron, folate, and vitamin B12 deficiency
Suspect Coeliac Disease in all of those with diarrhoea + weight loss/anaemia.
Coeliac Disease Symptoms:
Diarrhoea Weight Loss Stinking stools/Steatorrhoea Fatigue Failure to thrive (children) Bloating Nausea Vomiting Angular Stomatitis Aphthous Ulcers Osteomalacia
Coeliac Disease Investigations:
(patient must eat gluten for 6 weeks before they are tested):
Distal Duodenal Biopsy (done at Endoscopy which shows villous atrophy)
Serology (Anti Endomysial IgA, Anti Tissue transglutaminase),
Hb decreased
B12 decreased
Ferritin decreased
RCDW increased.
Coeliac Disease Treatment:
Life-long Gluten-free diet (also you can refer to a dietician)
