persistent or recurrent malabsorption symptoms and atrophy despite strict adherence to a gluten free diet and in the absence of other causes or overt malignancy
management of refractory coeliac disease
- confirmed cases should be referred to specialist
- treatment with prednisolone may be considered for initial management whilst awaiting specialist advice
