- Touch on hand, does this feel normal?
- Close eyes, say yes if you feel the cotton wool touch you

- thumb C6
- middle finger C7
- pinky C8
- middle forearm C5
- inner bicep area/armpit area T1
LL:
- big toe L5
- lateral foot S1
- inner calf L4
- inner thigh L3
- outer thigh L2
- “Felt any difference on either side?”
- “I would do vibration testing with a tuning fork at the DIP joints, reduced in peripheral neuropathy”
-“I would do pain perception with a toothpick”
- ” I would do temperature perception with something hot and cold”

Positive symptoms: - pins and needles, prickling feeling, lightning shooting down limbs
Negative symptoms: numb, limbs asleep

Proprioception
A
- Close your eyes, tell me if I’m moving your finger/toe up or down
- do both sides
- index finger DIP and big toe DIP

Romberg’s test
A
- stand feet together eyes closed for 30 seconds
- stand nearby
- if stance cannot be maintained, indicates positive test, proprioceptive dysfunction (e.g. cerebellar lesion)
