- Close eyes, say yes if you feel the cotton wool touch you

UL:
- thumb C6
- middle finger C7
- pinky C8
- middle forearm C5
- inner bicep area/armpit area T1

LL:
- big toe L5
- lateral foot S1
- inner calf L4
- inner thigh L3
- outer thigh L2

  • “Felt any difference on either side?”
  • “I would do vibration testing with a tuning fork at the DIP joints, reduced in peripheral neuropathy”

-“I would do pain perception with a toothpick”

  • ” I would do temperature perception with something hot and cold”

  • Close your eyes, tell me if I’m moving your finger/toe up or down
  • do both sides
  • index finger DIP and big toe DIP

A
  • stand feet together eyes closed for 30 seconds
  • stand nearby
  • if stance cannot be maintained, indicates positive test, proprioceptive dysfunction (e.g. cerebellar lesion)
