• LMN: fasciculations, wasting atrophy

• V1 Front of scalp, forehead
• V2 Cheeks
• V3 Lower cheek, chin

Question 3

CNV Motor

Answer 3

• Corneal reflex, CNV1 afferent and CNVII efferent
• Clench teeth, feel masseter
• Move jaw left and right, observe pterygoids
• Open jaw against resistance, temporalis

CNVII

Answer 4

• look up, observe forehead wrinkles due to occipitofrontalis
• squeeze eyes shut, orbicularis oculi
• blow out cheeks and feel, buccinator
• smile w/teeth - zygomaticus muscle
• press lips together, pry apart - mentalis muscle
• I have been observing symmetrical movement and strength
• I would test taste on anterior 2/3 of tongue
• No dry eye seen, lacrimal duct okay
