2nd and 3rd trimester:

Mefloquine
Avoid primaquine and tetracyclines in pregnancy

If unsure about species = treat as falciparum
If non-falciparum in area known to be:
-Chloroquine sensitive = treat with either ACT or chloroquine
-Chloroquine resistance = treat with ACT

Primaquine [after checking G6PD] - 14 days
-Kills mature [stage V] gametocyte of P falciparum
