Acromioclavicular joint dislocation

A

Fall onto top of shoulder
Grade 1-6
Noticeable bump in skin
Clavicle moves superiorly
Ligaments stretched in grade 1
All ligaments torn in grade 3
Placement of clavicle determines grades 4-6
Sling for 6 weeks
surgery in sever cases

Ultrasound/ MRI
Patient characteristics
Conservative-3 months in boot- most treated like this- heel elevated and gradually have less plantar flexion in boot
