What is a clinical assessment?
The systematic evaluation of psychological, biological and social factors associated with a possible psychological disorder
What is a diagnosis?
The process of determining whether a person’s symptoms meet the criteria for a psychological disorder according to the DSM-5

What is Standardization?
The process by which a certain set of standards is determined fir a technique to make its use consistent across different measurements
What is a mental status exam?
Involves the systematic observation of an individuals behavior
Define thought process
Rate and flow of speech, clarity, and content of speech and ideas
What are behavioral assessment?
Direct observation to assess formally an individuals thoughts, feelings, and behavior in specific situations

What is self-monitoring?
Observing one’s own behavior to find patterns
What are projective tests?
Ambiguous stimuli presented to people to interpret and unknowingly project their personality and unconscious fears without realizing it
